(1) - Diseases other than foliage diseases are very difficult to accurately map using aerial overview style surveys.  The totals presented here are not an accurate depiction of dwarf mistletoe and root disease incidence in the province.  More accurate data is obtained using ground surveys.

A large proportion of the province was covered by the aerial overview survey in 2002.  Only a small number of districts in (portions of the Cassiar, South Island FD, Campbell River FD, and Ft. Nelson FD) were not flown due to a known lack of activity, limited time, and poor weather.
