Proposed Ground Spray at Harrison planned for 2010

A small area of primarily agricultural land on the road to Harrison Lake will be treated for gypsy moth with a spray approved for use on organic farms, to protect the region’s forests, farms, orchards, and trees. Treatment plans consist of up to four ground applications of Foray 48B on 25 hectares of land near Macpherson Road, between late April and mid-June. The area was the epi-centre of last year’s outbreak and treatment area. The spray will be applied by trained and licensed technicians and vehicles.
