FREP Photography Contest 2010

Annual RSM Field Season Photography Contest Information

What is it?

Every year District RSM staff have adventures in the field whether it be wild weather, wildlife or wild co-workers. This year we want to see what hidden talent for photography is out there through a RSM photo contest.

Who can Enter?

Anyone conducting RSM fieldwork can enter. You may enter one photo per category per person.

What are the Categories?

  • People
  • Action
  • Landscape
  • Nature
  • Wildlife

How Will it be Judged?

The entries will be posted on the FREP website in a photo gallery. The top 3 photos in each category will be identified by web-based voting. At the year-end continuous improvement session, the top 3 photos in each category will be presented and voted on to choose the winner. The submission with the most votes from each category as well as a ‘best overall’ will win a prize.

What is the Deadline?

Send your high resolution photo in a .JPG or .GIF format to Thomas Chen by Feb 1, 2011th. Include a caption and photo credit.

Can I see the entries?

A smaller version of each picture will be posted to the Photography Contest Gallery for your viewing pleasure. You will be asked to vote by email for your favourite in each of the 5 categories. The 3 photos with the most votes in each category will go on the "final round" at the Continuous Improvement Workshop. At the CI Workshop, everyone will vote for their 1st choice in each category from the finalists and for their favourite overall.
