Getting Access to FREP IMSEveryone with IDIR can view FREP in Test or Production. If you want to add or edit information, you need to request access.

Open FREP IMS TestTo enter the FREP IMS test application, click on the icon shown at left or in the side bar panel at right.

Open FREP IMS ProductionTo enter the FREP IMS production application, click the icon to the left.

This Training Center is intended to prepare field staff working in the FREP program to enter resource value field card data into FREP IMS. Use the instructions on this page as a self-study guide to practice entering data in FREP IMS in the Test environment. You will need to prove that you have entered and submitted at least one resource value checklist in the FREP IMS Test environment before you will be given access to the real Production database.

If you need access to FREP in either Test or Production, you can request it online. Please click the Need Access? link on the right hand side of this page.

If you’re new to the application, please work through the six steps below. If you know how to use the application, but just need a refresher on a particular resource value, pick the appropriate activity from Step 5.

Step Four

Demonstrations

These simulations show you how to complete actual tasks in FREP IMS. Select the Robodemo for the resource value you would like to view. You can stop the Robodemo at any time or exit and return to this page.

Please note: in reviewing these demonstrations, you may find that some fields or steps in the simulation differ slightly from the actual system. FREP IMS is changing rapidly to meet your needs so our simulations may not have caught up completely but they will be very close and give you an excellent preview of what to expect when you go to the system.

Step Five

Activities

Select the activity you wish to complete and follow the steps in the FREP IMS test application. You will find it useful to reference this year's completed field cards for the selected resource value to help you fill in the electronic forms used in these activities. If you have not yet completed field cards, and you need samples to work from, please see Appendix 4 of the Stand Level Protocol and Appendix 1 of the Riparian Management Protocol.

Reports
Once checklists have been submitted to the FREP IMS database, a range of reports on the data may be run. Please read the Reports Overview, where a matrix of all reports provides details on what you can expect from each report. A link to detailed instructions on how to generate reports is also available from the Overview page.
