Adaptive Management Projects

Pilot Projects in British Columbia

BC Forest Service is undertaking a number of pilot projects throughout BC to evaluate and demonstrate how to apply adaptive management. The goal is to have at least one pilot project each of 6 regions, and to have projects that demonstrate the range of issues and scales to which adaptive management can be applied. These co-operative projects rely on the efforts and support of participants from BC Forest Service districts, regions and headquarters), Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection, industry, and non-government organizations. To date, the following pilot projects are being planned or are underway:
