Abstract

This field guide summarizes a wide range of information about the use of pesticides in B.C. forests. It was assembled to assist field staff and contractors in explaining forest pesticide use to the general public - area residents, special interest groups, local associations, community leaders, officials and occasional bystanders. Because discussions and questions about pest management practices often arise near the treatment site, the field guide format was chosen. It presents information concisely in charts, graphs and diagrams. Information included in this guide was based on the most recent, authoritative references on pesticides as of August 1987.
