Abstract

TASS III understorey white spruce (Picea glauca (Moench) Voss) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl.) height, diameter, and crown growth relationships are being developed to enable TASS simulations of aspen-spruce and aspen-pine boreal mixedwoods. Efforts are being focussed on developing relationships between growth and light for white spruce, and lodgepole pine in aspen stands.
