Abstract

Slope stability analysis is an essential task for managers of natural resources in steep land or in areas subjected to shallow mass movement. This paper investigates several different modelling strategies. First, a short review of digital elevation models is presented, and then the use of empirical modelling with the context of the project is explored. Finally, the rationale for the stability classifications developed in the paper are addressed.
