Abstract

Some short photoperiod (SD) treated interior spruce seedlings of five seedlots as well as their untreated controls (ambient photoperiod), were outplanted near their natural seed source locations throughout British Columbia. These trials were designed to compare different SD-treated and untreated stock in terms of their: 1) annual height and ground-line stem diameter increments: 2) first-year post-planting terminal bud phenology; and 3) seedling survival and condition.
