Abstract

The uncertainty associated with the projected harvesting plans is compounded by the uncertainty associated with wildlife habitat use of deciduous-dominated ecosystems. Harvesting of hardwoods may affect wildlife populations in ways we do not understand. This problem analysis documents these uncertainties and provides ideas for future management of the hardwood and wildlife resources.
