Abstract
Lodgepole pine forests in British Columbia's interior are commonly nutrient deficient, and foliar analysis is widely used for evaluating their nutrient status. However, considerable uncertainty exists among users about the appropriate methodology to use when collecting and processing foliage samples and when interpreting results. This extension note presents updated conifer foliar sampling guidelines and revised foliar interpretative criteria for diagnosing lodge-pole pine stand nutrient status.
