Abstract

Enhanced Forestry Program: help when you need it

The Enhanced Forestry Program (EFP) Website has been developed by the Ministry of Forests (MOF) to support a key strategic objective of Forest Renewal BC: to ensure a sustainable harvest.

To this end, training, information, and tools available on the Website support more informed silviculture decisions.

Silviculture decisions, growth and yield, partial cutting, backlog reforestation, stand tending, forest health, biodiversity, and adaptive management are some of the forest management areas fundamental to sustainable forest harvesting. With its new Website, the Enhanced Forestry Program Virtual Resource Centre brings the latest knowledge and training materials together in one place.

Our partners include the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks, private forest companies, universities, Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada, the BC Science Council, and MOF regions and districts.
