| Description: |
| This project continues to fit with the strategic goals of the FSP program in providing relevant and timely information and extension products to support both sustainable forest management and timber growth and value. The main driving force for this project continues to be testing silvicultural systems that can be used to maintain mountain caribou habitat. We will continue to work directly on monitoring the impact of the various systems on arboreal lichens, vegetation and stand structure (caribou habitat attributes), and also will continue to study the impacts of these systems on biodiversity, tree regeneration and snow hydrology. |
