Road Information in the Squamish Forest District

 

HEADLIGHTS ON AT ALL TIMES

THERE IS AN AVALANCHE RISK IN HIGHER ELEVATIONS

 

Vehicles using snow covered roads may become stuck or trapped.

Cellular telephone coverage is not available in all areas.

Snowmobile users:  it is illegal to operate a snowmobile on a ploughed FSR or on an FSR that has motor vehicle use.

Damage, removal or disobeying of traffic control devices (signs) may result in a fine under section 6(2) of the Forest Service Road Use Regulation

6 to 10 inches of snow on road as of mid-April.
Public use is not recommended from December to April due to high avalanche risk, debris torrents and extreme weather conditions.

**The Meager Creek road is closed
at the 37km turnoff; the closure falls under
Section 57 of the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act. **
