AI pasture, located just north of the BC-Montana border, is used by both wildlife and cattle. A key part of the ecoystem restoration is the prescribed burning component. In the case of AI pasture, burning of the understory resulted in reducing the on-the-ground fuel loads and competing antelope brush. This allows grass communities to rejuvenate and overall forage to increase.
