Loon Lake Recreation Site - # 42

Access

From the hamlet of Parson south of Golden drive west along the main Spillimacheen Road and the North Fork Road (at km 17).  Two roads lead into Loon Lake at km 24 and 24.5.  The second allows trailer access to the main site.  The road is passable by 2WD vehicle and trailers.

Characteristics and Description

Loon Lake is a small lake surrounded by a mature spruce forest.  The site is easily accessible and centrally located in TFL # 14 making it attractive to family campers, fishers and hunters.  Four forested lakeside sites are located at the main site on the north shore.  The south site has a good boat launch and a rough road to a single campsite.  A short drive along the Summit A Road at km 21), takes you to Summit Lake, Rocky Point Lake and Three Island Lake Recreation Sites for further fishing opportunities.
