Tamarack Lake  - # 1

A very small, popular, pleasant campsite; with dock.

Johnson Lake - # 2     

A small lake with campsites at each end; beach; turtle viewing.

Larchwood Lake - # 3     

A medium sized, semi open campground on the forests edge; scenic views; family camping.

Skookumchuck Creek - # 4

A small, remote, lightly used campsite; short trail to a viewpoint overlooking rapids; no trailers.

Buhl Creek - # 5

A small, open meadow campsite; Buhl Creek warm springs immediately east of road.

Findlay Falls - # 6

A day use area; short walk to canyon viewpoints and impressive twin waterfalls; use caution if exploring south canyon area.

Findlay Creek - # 7

A small, forested, streamside campsite; canyon portal; canoe take out; short rough road.

Engstrom Pond - # 8  

A small, quite, secluded pothole lake campsite; dock; short, rough access road (impassable when wet); alternate access off the Findlay Road at km 17; no trailers on either access.

Whitetail Lake - # 9     

A trophy fishing lake with 2 large, forested, heavily used campsites; water skiing prohibited.

Jumbo Pass Cabin - # 10      

An alpine cabin, sleeps 6-8; at tree line, just north of Jumbo Pass, used for ski touring and hiking; phone 250-342-7229 for reservations.

Lillian Lake - # 11    

A small, pleasant, treed, day use area; dock; electric motors only; adjacent to a paved road.

Lake Enid - # 12          

A very popular day use area 5 km west of Wilmer; two short hiking trails; dock.

Stockdale Creek - # 13  

A small, forested, creek side campsite; waterfall views; good base for up valley exploration.

Olive Hut - # 14      

A small, stone hut at 2650m overlooking the Catamount Glacier; sleeps 4-6; used for ski touring and mountaineering; phone 250-342- 7229 for reservations.

Dogleg Lake - # 15    

A small, forested, lakeside campsite.

Sam's Folly Lake - # 16  

A small, secluded campsite between two ponds; electric motors only; rough road access, no trailers.

Halgrave Lake - # 17  

A small, forested campsite at a stocked lake; electric motors only; boats must be pushed over a muddy shoreline to access lake.

Steamboat Lake - # 18    

A small, semi-open campsite; at a deep lake adjacent to scenic Steamboat Mountain.

Hall Lake - # 19       

A small, quiet, forested campsite; handicapped accessible facilities; dock; electric motors only.

Leadqueen Lake - # 20    

A small, scenic campsite; lake and mountain views; beaver ponds and informal trails; electric motors only.

Halfway Lake - # 21  

A small, secluded, forested campsite on a fishing lake; dock; rough, narrow road access from the Westside Road; no trailers.

Big Fish (Dunbar) Lake - # 22  

Five sites located on an attractive and popular lake; dock; engine power restriction of   7.5 KW.

Twin Lakes - # 23    

A small, well situated, busy campsite; ideal for day use; dock; electric motors only.

A small, forested campsite; short trail along creek; electric motors only.

Cub Lake - # 25

A small quiet, forested campsite; electric motors only; accessed by a short, rough road.

Three small campsites on the east, west and and north shorelines; docks; engine power restrictions of 7kw.

Topaz Lake - # 28  

A small, secluded campsite; electric motors only; narrow and rough road access from Cleland Lake; no trailers.

Cartwright Lakes - # 29     

Two, medium sized, forested campsites on the west and north shores of a very popular lake; docks; engine power restrictions of 7kw.

Bugaboo Septet - # 30    

A small, streamside campsite; good views of the Bugaboos; base for local hikes.

Bugaboo Falls - # 31     

A day use facility at a popular waterfall; three viewpoints; handicapped facilities.

Jubilee Mountain Viewpoint - # 32    

A day use facility with good views of the Columbia Valley; handicapped facilities.

Fourteen Mile Lake - # 33  

Pleasant, secluded campsite overlooking a small lake.

McLain Lake - # 34    

Quite treed site reached via 4WD road with five junctions. Short 100m boat carry to lake.

Nine Bay Lake - # 35    

A small, forested campsite at an attractive lake; boats must be portaged 200m to the lake.

Mitten Lake - # 36       

A medium sized, forested, campsite at a popular lake; heavy weekend use; dock.

Bittern Lake - # 37    

A small, open campsite at a tranquil lake; dock.

Wilbur Lake - # 38  

A small campsite and dock.

Rocky Point Lake - # 39  

A small, rustic campsite; steep car top boat launch; dock; high clearance access.

Three Island Lake - # 40    

A small, less popular campsite with special boating and angling opportunities.

Summit Lake - # 41

A small day use facility for angling.

Loon Lake - # 42  

Two, medium sized, forested campsites on the south ad north shores of a moderately busy lake; dock; easy access.

McMurdo Cabin - # 43        

A small, older, log cabin; sleeps 6; near Silent Pass; heavy multi-season use; phone 250-342-7229 for reservations; 3 km walk-in from km 56.

Mount Swansea - # 44    

A day use facility at an old BC Forest Service lookout site; panoramic views; hang-gliding launch site; access via a steep, narrow, high clearance 2WD road, then a 0.5 km hike; brochure available.

Horseshoe Rapids - # 45    

A small , attractive campsite adjacent to the Kootenay River; a portage trail bypasses Horseshoe Rapids.

Palliser - Albert River - # 46     

A medium sized , scenic campsite at the confluence of two rivers; rapids and cascades upstream on both rivers.

Fenwick Lake - # 47     

A small, quiet, forested campsite; high clearance road access.

Fenwick Creek - # 48  

An open, grassy campsite.  Downstream of bridge, a short trail leads to an impressive waterfall / canyon.

Kootenay / White Junction - # 49    

A small, scenic, riverside campsite at the confluence of two rivers; no trailers.

Maiyuk Creek - # 50       

Moderately busy staging campsite for horse and hiking trips into the Height-of-the-Rockies Provincial Park via Middle Fork or Maiyuk Creek trails. Corrals.

Mount Forsyth - # 51      

A scenic, open campsite at the vehicle restriction closure for hunting; used by horse parties; corral.

White River - East Fork - # 52     

An open, streamside campsite at the confluence of two rivers. Fishing restrictions

White River - Graves Creek - # 53      

A medium sized, open meadow campsite at the confluence of two rivers.  Fishing restrictions apply.

Munroe Lake - # 54  

A small, secluded campsite with an "all to yourself feel" at a small mountain lake.

Doctor Creek Cabin - # 55 

Older, log, BC Forest Service cabin renovated and maintained by the local snowmobile club.  Serves as a base for alpine snowmobiling and hiking opportunities.  Use is on a first come basis.  (No reservations).
