"Geomatics
refers to the disciplines that acquire, store, manage,
retrieve, manipulate and distribute spatial or
geographically referenced data."
Geographic
Information Systems: The Geomatics Area section
serves as a central location for spatial related
information to assist staff within the Haida Gwaii Forest District of the Ministry of Forests and
Range.
District ESF and FTA Contact: The Geomatics Section
is responsible for field all questions related to ESF
(Electronic Submission Framework) and FTA (Forest
Tenures Administration).
The
Geomatics Service Section currently consists of one
full-time Geomatics Technician.
