ALEXANDER MACKENZIE HERITAGE TRAIL
A historical trail following the route
taken by Alexander Mackenzie on his historic journey to the Pacific in 1793. A
parking lot has been developed adjacent to the Blackwater Road near a viewpoint
overlooking the Blackwater River valley, this also being the "Main Trail
Head". Trail information brochures are available from Forest Service and
Parks Branch District Offices and Tourist Information Centres.
