The spectacular scenery of the Kalum Forest District allows for a multitude
of recreational opportunities.
Soak in a hot spring along the Douglas Channel, check out interpretative trails
at Redsand Lake, go rock climbing at Chist Creek, hike historic mining trails in
the Bear Valley or snowmobile into spectacular alpine areas. Check out the
links at left to learn more about the sites, trails and other opportunities in
the District.
Notice - Exstew Recreation Site Closed
The Exstew Recreation Site is closed until further notice due to a road washout and has been gated at 1 km on the access road.
BC Forest Service recreation sites and trails
are now being managed and maintained by the Ministry of Tourism,
Culture and the Arts.
The Kalum Forest District is keeping this Recreation Page up on
our website as a service to the public but any recreation
