The following recreational facilities are located along Highway 37 N or are within easy driving distance of the Highway. They are 2WD accessible unless otherwise noted. All distances noted are one way.

Bonus Lake Recreation Site
Access: Drive about 5 km north of Cranberry junction
to the recreation site sign on the west side of the Highway, continue 200m west
to the site.
Site Description: A beautiful 3 unit site close to the
highway makes it ideal for travellers. A large dock makes it easy to
launch small boats and canoes.![]()
Derrick Lake Recreation Site
Access: Turn east at the recreation site sign
approximately 7 km north of Cranberry Junction onto the Derrick Lake Forest
Service Road. At the junction with the Calmin Mainline at 1.7 km turn left,
travel another 1.4 km to the junction of the Derrick-Br 310 FSR, keeping left
once again. Continue along the Derrick FSR for another 2.6 km to the site.
Note: The site is about 6 km off of the highway on fairly
rough roads and is not recommended for large RV's
Site Description: A rustic 4 unit campsite that includes
2 sites above the lake amongst a mature hemlock forest and 2 sites farther up
the road near a dock and boat launch.![]()
Jigsaw Lake Recreation Site

Access: Turn east onto to the Brown Bear Forest Service Road
approximately 110 km north of Kitwanga. Continue east for about 10 km
until you get to the Jigsaw Lake turnoff on the right side of the road and
continue another 450m to the site.
Site Description: A 4 unit campsite situated on the shore of
Jigsaw Lake. The lake offers good opportunities for boating, canoeing, and
fishing.![]()
Bonney Lake Recreation Site and Canoe Portage Trails

Access: Turn east onto the Brown Bear Forest Service Road
approximately 110 km North of Kitwanga. At around 25 km the Brown Bear FSR is
intersected by the Orenda FSR, keep right and continue to 32 km, then turn left
back onto the Brown Bear FSR at the Kwinageese FSR junction. Continue another 3
km to the recreation site. (Total distance is about 35 km from the Highway)
Site Description: This small, rustic 2 unit campsite is located
on a point of land at the north end of Bonney Lake. There is a area beside the
lake that is suitable for launching small boats, kayaks and canoes. The site is
also used as a staging point for the 5 lake chain Bonney Lakes canoe route
Canoe Portage Trails: Bonney Lake is the largest lake in a
chain of 5 lakes joined by canoe portage trails, making a canoe route that can
take 1 to 3 days to complete. The portages, although rough and steep in some
sections, have been brushed out and marked. Camping areas along the route are
primitive, and only consist of cleared areas to pitch a tent. Please clean your
campsite when you leave.

Morchuea Lake Recreation Site
Access: Turn west at the sign approximately 50 km south of
the Village of Dease Lake or about 11.5 km south of the Stikine River Bridge.
Site Description: This 8 unit campsite located on the northeast
shore of the lake. Mt. Edziza is prominent feature when viewed from the
lakeshore. Site includes a small boat launch.![]()
Sawmill Point Recreation Site
Access: Turn west at the recreation site sign
approximately 50 km north of the Village of Dease Lake.
Note: The road to the site is fairly steep and is not
recommended for larger vehicles, However there is a large parking area at the
top of the hill before the steep descent down to the lake.
Site Description: This popular 6 unit campsite is located
near the north end of Dease Lake and features beach access as well as a boat
launch.![]()
French Creek Recreation Site
Access: Turn east just north of the French Creek
Bridge approximately 30 km north of the Village of Good Hope Lake.
Site Description: This 4 unit site is located near the
confluence of French Creek and the Dease River and is a good fishing spot. Boats
can be launched here to access the Dease River.![]()
