Travel east of Nelson for 19.0 km on highway 3-A to the Gibson Lake/Kokanee park access road. Travel along the access road for 6.8 km to the trail head sign. Please park well off the road.

Description

This trail is built on a portion of an old trail which used to run up West Kokanee Creek. The trail is moderately difficult due to some continuous steep sections, although the trail is well defined and suitable for most abilities. Features of the trail include bird viewing in a beetle-killed pine snag stand, and interesting views of the creeks and a natural landslide. The primary activities are hiking and wildlife viewing.
