Routes

Turn right just before the community of Cooper Creek onto the Duncan Lake forest service road. Head north for 12.5 km to the Glacier Creek road. Turn right onto Glacier Creek road and follow it for another 10.9 km. Turn left at this point and follow this road for 1.9 km. Park your vehicle at the end of the road and walk back to the trailhead. Roads may require 4wd vehicles.

Description

This trail provides direct access to Macbeth Icefield. The lower 2.0 km trail follows the creek and provides views of scenic meadows. From the meadow the trail climbs steeply to an alpine lake near the edge of the icefield. The primary activities are hiking, camping, mountaineering and viewing.
