From the junction of highway #3 and #3A in Creston, head west on highway #3 for 37.8 km to Char Creek Road. Char Creek Road is located on the left side of the highway just past the avalanche barrier. Follow Char Creek Road for 0.4 km to a bridge and a junction. Turn left and follow the road for 1.9 km. Here there is a steep road to the right. Follow this road for 4.0 km (over the ridge) to a washed out skid road to the right. Park here and walk up the right fork. A 4wd vehicle is necessary.

This short trail begins in an old clearcut and travels through sub-alpine forest to a picturesque mountain basin. The lake is bounded on three sides by extensive talus fields. This is primarily a day-use area with fishing as the main activity.Fishing
