The Kamloops TSA covers 2.7 million hectares in the southwestern Interior . The TSR sets the Annual Allowable Cut (AAC) for the Timber Supply Area (TSA)- which includes both the Clearwater and Kamloops Forest Districts (Kamloops, Clearwater, Cache Creek, Ashcroft, Chase and Vavenby). Kamloops TSR UPLIFT 2004: Effective January 1, 2004, the allowable annual cut for the Kamloops TSA has been temporarily increased from 2,677,900 cubic metres ( TSR January 1, 2003) to 4,352,770 cubic metres, due to the 2003 wildfires and the increasing mountain pine beetle epidemic.
