Compliance and Enforcement

A specialised C&E team ensures that all activities related to harvesting of timber are conducted in accordance with the Forest Act, Range Act, and the Forest and Range Practices Act. The designated forest officials work with industrial operators to provide stewardship of the forests. The conservation of biological diversity, soil, water, fish, wildlife, scenic diversity and other forest resources are all of primary concern during timber harvesting, mining and other industrial operations.
