Occupant Licence to Cut
(OLTC)

Right to harvest timber from Crown land where a person or corporation had the legal right
to occupy that land.

Woodlot Licence
(WL)
|
Rights to carry out forest management on a specific area (maximum 1,200 hectare in the
interior), of Crown land and the exclusive rights to harvest an annual volume of timber
from the licence area, under cutting permits.

Licensee responsible for strategic and operational planning, road building and reforestation.
Licensee can own and operate a manufacturing facility.
Licensee can hold more than one WL.
