The Asserted Traditional Territories in the Campbell River Forest District map is password protected, as some First Nations may view this information to be sensitive and confidential.  If you are a Forest Licensee who requires this information in order to carry out your work you may be eligible for access to this map. Permission will be granted with the condition that the information be used strictly for determining which First Nations to share information (or consult) with for forest planning or other forest management purposes.

Forest Service Road (FSR) Reports

Route:  Paterson Main

As of June 15, 2009, two portable bridges will be permanently removed on Paterson Main (see map) to the Burman River. Please be advised that there will be no vehicle access up the Paterson main after the bridge removal.

Route:  Fair Harbour & Zeballos FSR

November 20, 2009 7:00 a.m.  The road is in very poor condition due to the heavy rainfall. 

WFP will commence storm damage repair today on the section between Zeballos and Little Espinosa Causeway. Movement of equipment and materials will take place Friday with repairs commencing Sat, Sun and Mon.  Traffic control will be in place and twenty minute delays will apply.

 Drive with caution and carry winter chains.

Forest Stewardship and Woodlot Plans

In January 2004, the Government of British Columbia changed how forest management plans are developed and approved.  Under the Forest and Range Practices Act, forest licensees must have authorization from the government before they can harvest timber or build roads on Crown land.  They obtain authorization by submitting a Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) or a Woodlot Plan.
