Frisby Ridge Snowmobile Trail

The Frisby Ridge Snowmobile Trail was constructed by the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club with the cooperation with the B.C. Forest Service. The B.C. Forest Service manages the trail within its recreation program.

TRAIL SAFETY CHECKLIST

Watch for trail grooming equipment. Use your headlights at all times. Wear an approved helmet. Never travel alone; ride with a buddy. Ensure that someone knows where you are going and when you expect to return. Carry a repair kit in case of breakdowns. Dress properly as frost bite and/or hypothermia can come on quickly. Carry an emergency kit complete with first aid equipment, high energy food and hot liquids. Watch the weather closely, changes can occur quickly in mountainous areas. The wind can dramatically increase the danger of exposure even on relatively pleasant days. Remember, it is illegal to operate snowmobile on snowplowed roads.

REMEMBER, your safety is your own personal responsibility. Hazards exist in the area you are entering and caution must be exercised.

Frisby Ridge is an important habitat area for mountain caribou. The Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, Ministry of Environment and the B.C. Snowmobile Federation have cooperated in implementing a program to reduce the disturbance on Caribou that snowmobiling may have.

Information on these closed areas can be obtained through the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club or the Ministry of Environment. Your cooperation in making this program work will ensure continued enjoyment for all snowmobilers on Frisby Ridge.

To get more information on snowmobiling in Revelstoke got to the Snowmobile Revelstoke Society web site.
