Moonraker Trails Recreation Area

(including Cedar Lake)

The north end of the trail system can be reached by following the directional signs along the Whitetooth Ski Hill Road to Cedar Lake. The south end of the trail system is accessed through Nicholson via Canyon Creek road. Further detailed access maps for these areas are available at the Columbia Forest District Office.

The Moonrakers offer enjoyable day hiking, challenging mountain biking and relaxing horseback riding. They also accommodate all levels of ability . Regardless of activity NOTE THAT ATV'S ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Breathtaking scenery, varying terrain and wildlife viewing opportunities are all just minutes away from Golden

Do not cut corners and avoid wet areas. Help us keep this system beautiful and less costly to maintain.

Please respect other users to avoid unnecessary conflicts on these trails. Always exercise proper trail etiquette. Understand and follow the 'Trial User's Code of Ethics'. Respect all private land boundaries.

Although users of any ability can use these trails, standards vary throughout the system. Watch for exposed roots, sudden steep pitches and slippery sections. Be especially aware of cliff drop-offs along Canyon Creek.
