Keystone Standard Basin Trial

The Keystone Standard Basin area is a spectacular mix of alpine forest, alpine and small lakes. The area is reached by traveling north of Revelstoke on Hwy 23. At approximately 50km the turnoff onto a logging road is marked by a large sign. Watch for logging trucks and/or other industrial traffic. If the road is active with this traffic it is suggested that you follow a radio controlled vehicle while traveling to the trailhead.

The trailhead is marked by a large sign post and is 15km up the logging road. The route to the trailhead is marked by a sign at each road junction. At the trailhead a register box is maintained by the Forest Service. Your comments are encouraged, but please note that it is not intended as a safety system.

The "Standard Cabin" is located approximately 11km along the trail. This cabin is situated on a recreation site and is open to recreational public use. Commercail use by outdoor and recreational enterprises is not allowed. The cabin was constructed by the Revelstoke Outdoor Alternate Program and is financed by provincial funds.
