July 10, 2008 - No Further Forestry Licence to Cuts in Norrish Creek

Due to increased pressure from multiple resource users in the Norrish Creek
Drainage, as of July 10, 2008, the Chilliwack Forest District will no longer be
issuing area based Forestry Licence to Cuts in the Norrish Creek drainage, as
shown on the attached map. This decision will be reviewed on an annual basis.

May 14, 2008 - Timber Cutting Applications
within Controlled Recreation Areas (CRA)
Effective September 4, 2007
the CONTROLLED RECREATION ACT REGULATION under the Resort Timber Administration
Act (RTAA) was created that provides authority for the Resort Development Branch
(RDB) of Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts (MTSA) to issue Licences to Cut
(LTC) within the boundaries of a CRA, primarily areas around ski resorts.
