Important information regarding client services delivery changes

Chilcotin Forest District changing to a Tier 3 (field) office

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE

CHILCOTIN FOREST DISTRICT OFFICE

June 3, 2010

The Ministry of Forests and Range wishes to advise the public of upcoming changes to client service delivery in the Chilcotin Forest District office, in Alexis Creek.

With the transition from a district office to a field office, the following changes will take place effective Thursday, July 1, 2010:

  • As the office will no longer provide public reception service, clients wishing to speak with a member of the field office staff in person will be required to make an appointment in advance. The office doors will be closed to the public.
  • Clients wishing to contact a member of the field office staff by telephone will be required to call the staff member’s direct telephone number, as there will be no switchboard service available to direct incoming calls, take telephone messages or respond to general inquiries.
  • There will be no management representatives working out of the field office; managers can be reached by contacting the Forest District office in Williams Lake, 640 Borland Street, either in person or by phone at 250-398-4345; or fax:
    250-398-4790.

For general inquiries, please call 250-394-4700 (prior to July 1st) or 250-398-4345.
