Sept 7, 2006: Looking Outside the Legislation - A discussion paper by Roberta Reader entitled The Expectations that Affect the Management of Public Forest and Range Lands in BC is now available in five sections for ease of use. This paper looks both within and outside the statutory framework, and at the various ways decisions and practices can be evaluated.

  • May 10, 2004 - Timeline for Chief Forester Standards for Seed Use
  • May 3, 2004 - The Minister of Water Land and Air Protection established a "category of species at risk" by order made under section 11(1) of FRPA's Government Actions Regulation. This category of species at risk represents those species that may be affected by forest or range management on Crown land and are listed by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC).
