Forest and Range Practices Act 2005

Technical Questions and Answers

A number of significant changes were made to the Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA) and regulations in 2004 and early 2005.

In March 2005, training sessions outlining the changes were delivered in several locations around British Columbia. These sessions, entitled “What’s New in FRPA –2005” generated a number of questions whose answers have a bearing on implementation of the regulations.

This Website provides answers to technical questions asked during the 2005 training sessions.

While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the answers, no warranties of any kind are made to their precision or longevity. Users are advised to refer to the wording of the legislation and regulations themselves, and obtain legal advice from their own sources.
