Forest Certification
|
| Certification of forestry activities is a best practice in forest and
sustainable resource management, and is important for market access. BC Timber Sales is committed
to achieving third-party certification of our forestry operations, including:

BCTS Certification Status Reports
|
|
BCTS has achieved
EMS certification on
all of its
operations and SFM
certification in the
majority of its
operations to date. Current BCTS EMS and SFM certification status and plans are outlined in BCTS

BC Forest Safety Council (BCFSC) Certification
|
| BCTS' commitment to the safety of all people affected by its operations
– employees, contractors, licensees and the public – is demonstrated by achievement of SAFE Company
certification through the BC Forest Safety Council in August 2008. Starting in 2009, BCTS requires
SAFE Company certification for all parties employing workers on Timber Sales Licences or bidding
