In accordance with
Section 6(2) of the Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA),
the delegated decision
maker (DDM) has the
authority to extend a
Forest Stewardship Plan
(FSP) for an additional
period of up to five
years. The Seaward-tlasta Business
Area has applied for an
extension to its entire
FSP area (which
geographically
encompasses the North
Island-Central Coast
Resource District and
portions of the Campbell
River Resource District).
The term dates are now
October 12, 2006 to
October 10, 2016
with the new period being October 11, 2011 to October 10, 2016.
The FSP shows the location of Forest Development Units and provides the results and strategies
that BC Timber Sales – Seaward Business Area will follow to achieve the Government objectives
for various forest and resource values.
