BCTS strongly supports a culture of safety in the B.C. forest sector and we believe that safe and healthy worksites are integral to our success. We advocate increased safety awareness and are committed to the safety of all people involved with our operations – employees, contractors, licensees, permittees and the public.

We provide senior level corporate-wide leadership for our safety program, are committed to meeting the standards of the SAFE Companies initiative of the BC Forest Safety Council, and clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of all parties participating in the program.

In fulfilling our commitment to forest worker safety, we collaborate with the Employment Standards Branch of the Ministry of Labour and Citizens’ Services and WorkSafe BC regarding compliance with safety related legislation. We participate in various safety initiatives with industry, government and organizations such as WorkSafe BC and the BC Forest Safety Council.
