The Effects of Cattle and Wildlife Use on Rangeland Plant Communities

Contents Menu Forage cages

The objective of this project was to document actual forage use by cattle and wildlife throughout the year. This information is essential to mitigate current disagreements among resource management personnel regarding the relative temporal forage demands of cattle and wild ungulates, and to develop grazing management plans that optimally integrate the habitat and forage requirements of cattle and wildlife.
