Field Guide to the Biological Control of Weeds In British Columbia

The objectives of this project were to prepare an illustrated manual which:

  • assists field staff in the identification of noxious range weeds of BC
  • outlines the geographical and ecological distribution for each weed species
  • summarizes information on the biology of each weed species
  • describes existing biological control agents for each weed species at different stages of growth
  • describes the biology of each biological control agent
  • provides recommendations on the collection, handling and distribution for each biological control agent
