The Effects of Application Date, Clipping Treatment and Harvest Date on Plant Biomass Yield Following Fertilization

Contents Menu Grassland plots overview

The objectives of this project were to determine if (1) the date of fertilizer application affects spring and summer biomass yields, and, (2) following fertilizer application, spring and maximum biomass production differs on plots preclipped in mid-October to remove old growth, compared to those clipped only once in early August and sorted to remove the present year's production from the old growth.
