This Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) which was approved
on June 1, 2007, replaces the existing BC Timber
Sales’ South Island Forest District Forest Development
Plans, for the east and southwest coast geographic areas
includes areas of provincial forest in the Rosewall,
Somass, Little Qualicum, French Creek, Nanoose, Chemainus,
Cowichan, Koksilah, Loss, San Juan, Nitinat and Nanaimo
landscape units. This FSP does not include areas of Tree
Farm Licence 44 (TFL 44).
The public review and comment period for the South Island
East and Southwest Coast ran from August 28, 2006 to
October 30, 2006 and is now complete. All written comments
received during the review and comment period were considered
during the revision of the plan prior to its final submission
to the Delegated Decision Maker on June 1, 2007.
